Technology has become a major aspect of life. It is found everywhere and has literally become everything. From the smallest smartphones to largest supercomputers, the small world of silicon materials conceives the everyday computing tasks that we go about doing without giving much thought to it. Although the technology that we use is powered by the smallest pieces of silicon, technology has come to define who we are and what we stand for as members of society. Technology has allowed us to function on a unified plane where information, creativity and an abundance of knowledge is easily available on our fingertips.
